Session 1
Who told you to work so hard? We root out the bogeymen and expose them. We list your cast of inner critics and hear their voices. We shine a camera and a spotlight on them and give them names. You tell me stories about them.
Session 2
Once we have nailed down the major characters, we look around at the scenery.
What places can you trace back to where there was a whiff of subtle control that might have outlived its purpose? Perhaps in your growing up, at school, in relationships, at work, at board meetings, in management or in shareholder attitudes?
What else could have been telling you to do what wasn’t necessarily right for you?
Now we have a list of names and places. We deepen our awareness of the gang and your initiation. We talk back to them, with all due respect.
Session 3
We spend time with your intuition. We are looking for your inner coach, your mentor, your wise counsel. Who is that sage presence who is always with you, no matter what? And if you cannot locate that person, we constitute one from imagination.
Session 4
We round out the picture with a check-in for your body. We look at the ways you have ignored it over the years. We explore modalities you might like to try for relaxation and self-soothing.
Session 5
Wrap-up, review, ideas for getting where you want to be over the next three to six months. You leave with tools and a plan for life as your own inner coach.
Meet extraordinary guests such as Indiana-born Laura Walker, who everyone expected to become a stay-home farmer’s wife.
Instead she spent time in Oregon and California before landing in Seattle. With the glass ceiling still hovering over corporate opportunities for women, she launched a business consulting practice with a diverse set of clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Boeing Company and the National Park Service. After a satisfying and successful career, Laura did another remarkable thing. She sold her belongings and took off around the world. From her Mediterranean home base, she now indulges her passion for travel, wine and food.
The DoDon’tDo Café is all about exploring: in this case learning from decision points that propelled Laura from Indiana to Spain. How to carve your own path when others presume something else for you? How to make seemingly massive transitions?
Thank you Anne Lewis, for being authentic in your coaching talent and helping me through my self-development journey. As over-achievers it is important to pause, praise and acknowledge “We are enough” .
Thank you so much for your coaching guidance.

Coaching with Anne Lewis brought me clarity around the speed bumps and road blocks I've put in my own way and provided the impetus and focus to stay in forward motion. Not necessarily in checking off the items I have to do, but around developing a positive mindset for 'how I have to be' to hit my targets.

I think that what Anne Lewis has as a person is a depth, and I think that this makes a difference, Beyond listening and re-framing, there's something intangible - it is the essence of who she is, caring, compassionate, not afraid to go deep, down the "Mariana Trench". She is not afraid of that."

The single most important thing that I have learned from Anne Lewis is that coaching is like an emotional/reflective process where you become increasingly aware of your habits and the ways in which you need to grow to better scale your business.

My professional corporate knowledge comes through direct participation and observation during 30 uninterrupted years as a senior team player and leader in a nationwide communications, information and entertainment company. In this shifting landscape I lived multiple corporate acquisitions, mergers, reorgs and vast technological changes.
The solution is often right in front of us, but invisible. Habits can become so ingrained, and the inner critics' voices so loud, my work is to help the process along. I will reflect back to you, re-connecting you to your vision, pointing out connections, inconsistencies and especially drawing your attention to your untapped brilliance. My job is to notice patterns you might never see. My role is to guide, accompany, and support you while you connect with your evolving self and your deeply held core values. You apply these values to gain a fuller experience of all aspects of your life - to yourself, to the important people and to the key issues around you. Our partnership reduces the sense you might have of being stuck, resistant or overwhelmed.
On a personal level, I can truly say that I know this process, and that I have lived and breathed it in the comeback I have made from a life-changing accident. I believe our life experience infuses what we do together: I bring strength in adversity, a determination in the face of challenge, a never-ending adaptability and a fervent belief that we can harness fear and discomfort as opportunities for growth. My academic background includes being a certified PPCC (a post-graduate diploma in Personal and Professional Coach, Concordia University, emphasizing evidence-based change practices, and a PCC (a credentialed member of the International Coach Federation). I am a trained compassionate listener and offer free coaching to women and their families living with food and shelter insecurity, to people with delicate attention and youth at risk of failing in school.
Anne Lewis is generous, warm, wise, and a wonderful coach. She asked relevant questions, helping me think about my path. She has a good sense of humour, and was encouraging, helpful, and challenging when needed. Anne kept me on track and helped my business grow, which was my goal. I recommend Anne Lewis most highly as a coach.

Coaching with Anne Lewis was useful and strategic for me to get perspective on the issues in my life that needed attention. Her kind and supportive questions helped me focus on what really mattered to me, make decisions and take manageable actions in areas where I had felt overwhelmed.
Thank you, Anne!

I started in a very complicated situation with not a lot of direction and I was much greener, much more confused about my business. It's almost like you have a rough idea of what you're going do next, but by putting aside a certain amount of time, becoming aware of the next stages of growth, saying it out loud in coaching, really verbalizing it and preparing yourself for it, then you have more chance of actually growing in that direction and actually completing the tasks that you imagine yourself completing.
I've now grown Robot In A Can into an increasingly consistent and international business.
Coaching is really helpful, different from business mentorship and most important for entrepreneurs to guide their growth.

We brought Anne Lewis in to help us with a decision we had to make.
We asked her to work with us to untangle the confusing circles we seemed to be going in, to help us stay on track and be more objective. She worked with us to identify the core values we wanted to honour in making this decision. This made it possible to plan together and put that into action.
